Doctors appointment, a question, and randomness…

Evening to my OD Family!! Well I went to the doctors today. He checked my cervix and we are 2-2.5cm dilated. He said that my cervix has also thinned out a little more but didn’t give me a percent. Babies are doing well. And he’ll see me next Monday at 10:15. We also talked about if I go into active labor within the next 6 days that they will do there damnedest to send me to Strong. Now, I’m not too keen on going to Strong even though it is one of the best hospitals to give birth at. The only reason why is because Strong is at least 40 minutes away from my mom’s house and that’s if there is no traffic seeing it’s in the city of Rochester [that just turns me off right there] compared to F.F. Thompson, which is 15 minutes away. Thompson is where I go for my NST and it’s very small yet comforting. Plus I know the nurses up there seeing I’m there ever week. BUT if that’s the case then so be it. He wants to me to go at least another 3 weeks [which would put me at 36 weeks] which would make the delivery at Thompson more favorable. [Thompson is a level 1 birthing hospital where Strong is a level 3. They don’t really have the equipment to deal with the twins if there is something wrong.] So that was the doctors.

Now my question. [*TMI*?] I asked the doctor this and he said it was nothing. I asked my mom and she said that I have started losing my mucus plug. Well starting Thursday, I went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was this clear, sticky, snot looking stuff on the paper. Well last night I went to the bathroom and you know when you’re sick and you blow your nose it’s this yellowish snot stuff? Well that’s what came out. This yellowish snot looking stuff. Is my mom right? Like I said, I mentioned it to the doctor and he said it was nothing.[End *TMI*]

Well this weekend was a good one. Spent a majority of it with Pat. Saturday him and I went out to dinner. We went to T.G.I.Friday’s and the best part about the whole thing was HIS MOTHER DIDN’T COME!! I was so thrilled. It was so good to that, just him and I. Then we went and walked around the mall for like 2 hours. He got himself the new Linkin Park CD [Minutes to Midnight] which I think is pretty good, and Need For Speed: Carbon Special Addison, and he got me Hinder’s CD [Extreme Behavior] and the Gym Class Heroes CD [As Cruel As School Children]. Then we looked for new glasses for him. Lord is that man picky. Worse than a girl. Then he went to Auntie Anne’s and got a pretzel and I went to Starbucks and got an iced caramel macchiato. Then he got me my holster for my new phone seeing a couple months ago I got my new phone [the Sanyo Katana from Sprint] and he got me a new face plate for it; bright pink with rhinestones on it. I love it!! Then we went back to the house where we watched Katt Williams Live [love him] and went to bed.

Sunday we just chilled around. I filled out our apartment applications while he played his new game. Then him and I went to the Pier and just watched the water. It was gorgeous yesterday. Went back to the house and played all the card games we have [UNO, Skip-Bo, and Phase 10] and that was around 4-5ish. Around that time I started having contractions. I was having 2 every hour. And they were getting so bad to the point where I could feel then in my butt. It felt like I had to go to bathroom or pass gas but every time I tried nothing. So he took me back to my mom’s where I could get some clothes and take a shower. I still felt yucky, but didn’t call the Birthing Center seeing they weren’t 4-5 minutes apart, I had a doctors appointment today, and I really didn’t want to spend time at the hospital. So when we got home he got my hand held massager thinger and put me to sleep. Woke up this morning feeling pretty good.

His mother on the other hand…well…let me tell you. I have come to find out what he priorities are. I found out that cable, phone and internet are more important to her than having gas [hot water]. She paid part of the cable bill but nothing on the gas bill. That’s alright. Pat and I are moving!! That’s all that matters. [Don’t know about the apartment yet. We faxed our applications over today so we should find out sometime tomorrow seeing they said as soon as they got them they’d run a credit check at get back to us within 24 hours.] His mother still has no clue. Anyways, all weekend she sat on the couch doing her plastic canvas mess and did nothing. She insists on having every window in the house shut. It’s anywhere between 75-92 degrees out [depending on the day] and she wants the windows shut. Last night I was outside on the deck watching Pat play with the dog, and she came out to smoke a cigarette. When she finished she goes “Brr…I’m freezing.” I wanted to slap her. So most of the time Pat and I are upstairs in our room where the AC is and one window has my fan in it to extract the heat from coming in.

Well that’s it for the moment. Tomorrow is my NST and Pat goes to the doctor. I might write tomorrow to let you know how it went. Until next time…toodles!!
