Happy V-Day + snow day = A BITCHIN Day!!

Happy Valentines Day!

Well today is V-day and how do I get to spend it? In the middle of a snow storm. As we speak we have over a foot of snow and more is coming. It started snowing last night around 7 and hasn’t stopped yet…and it’s 10:45 in the morning. The difference however, between last night and now is that the wind has picked up quite a bit. Last night the winds weren’t bad but now we have wind gust at time at 40 mph. Without the wind chill it’s 11 degrees [F] and with the wind chill it feels like -2 degrees [F]. They have closed all the schools in the areas surrounding me. Which means FLCC is closed…SNOW DAY!! [The girls’ school was closed last night at 10. Which should make there day.]

Oh boy, the drive home was quite interesting. The blows didn’t go out seeing it was just coming down last night so need-less to say the roads disappeared last night. Pat rode home with mom so I didn’t have to drive. A 15 minute drive from my mothers house to my house turned into an hour drive. We left my mom’s house at 12:45 and didn’t get to my house until 1:45. We did 20 mph the whole way home. I called my mom when I walked in the door and after I reassured her that we were not in a ditch I came out with “Thank god I got those new tires this fall!!” If we were still riding on the old ones we would’ve been in the ditch just pulling out of my mom’s park. The car pulled a little but nothing major…nothing that I could feel. We didn’t slide either which was a plus as well.

We got home and I took a bath and shaved my legs…or what I could see. I’ve felt my legs and other areas and they feel fine…so with my belly getting bigger and bigger I managed to do a good job at shaving!! But what I was so happy about was the fact that I didn’t get sea sick. The other day when I tried to shave I only get the lower half of my legs done and I had to get out. Just the motion of the bath water was making me more sick to my stomach. I tried laying in the water and nope. It was either get out or bath in puke…I picked the GET OUT!! So I was rather happy that I got it done last night. It also helped lossen up the muscles in my lower back…which in turn made for a better night sleep.

The guy from Lowes came to house today came and measured our door for our new one. He said it’s going to be a standard insulation BUT they have to replace the framing of the door and try and save the decorative piece thingy around the door seeing this house was built in the early 1900’s. [Learn something new everyday.] They’ll be back next week to do all of that and he said it’ll probably be a 3-4 hour job. I don’t care…just as long as I have my door.

Ok so some time elapse stuff has gone by….like I said it was 10:45 when I started this entry, it is now 1:23 IN THE AFTERNOON!! I called my mom and then I had to make a million phone calls concerning some medical bills I have. Back in July when I dealt with the while rape thing the hospital bill for that alone is over $3,000 that I don’t have so now I have to go through the Crime Victim people and try and get all of that mess fixed. I was informed that if I do get a case worker it could take up to 8-9 months get it all cleared. So for the past hour or so I have been on the phone with 2 different hospitals, my insurance company, the collection agency and the Crime Victim people. It’s been great.

About last night’s entry with girl names…Pat has decided that he like Lindsay Marie better. So we’re going to probably go with that. Thank you everyone for you input.

Well I am going to end this entry right here. Until next time…toodles!!

Right now, a snopw storm sounds great! (It’s close to 100F here in Melbourne, Aus. which is 35-ish degrees) 😉

Wait… make that close to 37 degrees. My maths isn’t all that good at times 😛
