So much pride, so much self-denial… it’s painful to see elements that resemble yourself, your own behaviour or behaviours of the past. Like watching Honey & Clover, the actions of these characters grows beyond the context of the film to reach out and touch us.
Sometimes when you have no idea what you’re doing, you think the best thing to do is to act like you know what you’re doing – it’s wrong wrong wrong! But we do it anyway – and look where it gets us!
No wait… the end of this film is happy… hmmm, forward thinking methinks??? If only it were so easy!
