It’s funny how I generally don’t have a care for real-world politics. Truth is so distorted through the normal channels, it’s impossible to know the straight of any given situation. When it comes to art though, especially works of fiction, I generally love the convolutions of political themes. That being said, my most favoured political pieces are actually symbolic of emotional and spiritual themes, so it isn’t the actual politics that I’m drawn to.

In other news, Perfume’s debut album Game shipped last week and arrived on Monday, and Chibi-R and I have been rocking out to it ever since. It just explodes from the very first track, the awesome Polyrhythm (I don’t care what Chibi-R and A_Spec say), right through to the end. There are also a few surprise tracks in there that are slightly more chilled out and Housey. While the album still bursts with energy, it isn’t really of the lolhammer variety that a lot of their previous work has been. I don’t mind the lolhammer stuff, but the high-production style of the album has really grown on me since Polyrhythm and Baby Cruising Love were released.

I’ve also started watching Love Hina again, it lifts me up when I’m down. I’m in love with Aoyama Motoko. Again.
As the weather gets colder I’ll be itching to watch Haibane Renmei again, as I associate it with winter and snuggling up in a duvet. Perhaps you’d like to snuggle with me?
