Rain in a dry country

It has been raining solidly through the night and now in the morning. Australia has been in a drought for coming up to eight years now, so rain of this magnitude is quite rare, and absolutely welcome. I’ve always loved rain, being a colder weather person. I like that in many cultures and paradigms, it symbolises refreshment, the washing away of old troubles and the bringing of new life. I’m not one to take too much mind of other beliefs, but I came to similar conclusions on my own. I really do love rain so much, and it’s just so wonderful that it’s been going for so long now.
