revisit | Achtung Baby – U2

I’m listening to this album at a moderately loud volume on my system at the moment, probably somewhere up around 85dB SPL, and it just sounds divine. I wondered at what my impressions would be after the grandeur that is This Binary Universe by BT, but Achtung Baby still amazes, even 15 years after its production! Aside from This Binary Universe, the engineering and mixing on Achtung Baby is absolutely unmatched – it is one of the very rare sonically perfect albums.

It just goes to show that Howie B, Flood and the rest of the production crew simply are the best in the business.
