Tokyo.Sora soundtrack | Yoko Kanno

Yoko Kanno is the greatest musician who has ever lived.
Not for the Honey & Clover movie,
Not for Cowboy Bebop,
Not even for Stand Alone Complex,

But for Tokyo.Sora – the greatest soundtrack for the greatest film ever created.

Kanno-sama has said in 20 minutes what most artists will spend their entire lifetimes struggling to even attempt to understand.

RYN: The anime itself I enjoyed but is not ranked high on my list of faves. Worth watching, but not one I would rewatch more than a few times(and I would only rewatch it because I own it, not because I would seek it out if I didn’t). I agree that it was pretty blunt, and that’s really the only major issue I have with it. The soundtrack I am absolutely in love with. I guess I can forgive….

…. Arjuna it’s failings BECAUSE of the soundtrack. Sound weird? I just don’t think I would be able to ignore the series’ problems if the music wasn’t so gorgeous. I have a small list of fave soundtracks, consisiting of Arjuna, Noein, Hellsing, Wolf’s Rain, Heat Guy J, Cowboy Bebop, Gankutsuou, and Angel Sanctuary. Only a few of those series’ are ones I really like. The others are ok, but….

… they just aren’t my thing. I just really like the music. And anything by Joe Hisaishi. Especially the Princess Mononoke soundtrack. The combination of his music and Miazaki’s genius is golden. Oooo.. I forgot to mention Elfen Lied:) Yep. Still a geek. *hugs*
