Speaking of which…

I’ve just finished watching an absolutely superb North American film that my father found. He saw it on SBS (one of only two non-commercial broadcasters here in Australia) just before Christmas and asked me to order it from the ‘States via Amazon for him. This is the kind of presentation that the most talented film-makers in the U.S. excel at, having just the right unique cultural edge that differentiates their work from European and Asian works in similar styles.

The film is called The Station Agent, slow, minimal, clever, charming, poignant and beautiful, I gave it full marks at 10, a film perfectly suited to my tastes. In the simple presentation hides an extraordinarily deep and emotional heart which drives the film through its characters and their ordinary lives. This is the kind of subtlety I’ve grown so fond of in films, and The Station Agent is a perfect example of it. Those with short attention spans need not apply.

hmm, well that is part rumor part truth about FF7. It did get a remake in the sense that Square made a teaser over FF7 on PS3 graphics. Of course, people everywhere are asking “Why would you RANDOMLY make a trailer like that, just to show off their #1 game???” So while people may say stuff, there is *NO* official word yet of a remake. And dammit, where’s the love for FF6! -Lyam

I feel compelled to write some of my animes up on OD. Unfortunately while it’s not all of them, at least it is a good amount of them. Should take a gander and you can call me a poser anime fan, hahah. I assure you, I don’t own any Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist, DBZ, or Inuyasha. Gross. -Lyam

That right there, is part of my pride and joy. I have over 4000 cds, 140 PS2 games, a PS3, Wii, 80 series of anime, and a souped up comp. That shit took a lot of money and time, but it’s worth it. đŸ˜€ -Lyam
