Dreamfall PC | Hell has frozen over…

Yes – I’m actually playing a PC game… on my PC…

Hell indeed is freezing over.

I haven’t played a PC game in years, well, that’s not entirely true. I did relive The Longest Journey about a year ago, but that was pretty much it. What surprised me is that the game hasn’t crashed once.

I’m only a couple of hours into it, and I’ve been fairly impressed by a lot of things, especially revisiting Venice in full 3D, and seeing how much it has changed. Many of the environments in this game so far have been fantastic.
I have one comment to make though:

Combat has no place in a point and click adventure.
EVER.

So far the world has been fairly immersive, with a lot of mood-setting environments and some fantastic music, but it feels a little… less mature than The Longest Journey? I’m warming quickly to Zoe and her friends, but I haven’t clicked with her as quickly as I did with April Ryan, who I’ve only just seen in her brief cut-scene first appearance. Here’s hoping that there will be some stellar stand-out moments as in the first game.
