cypher soundtrack, michael andrews | ultra rare
this is the most ellusive cd i have ever attempted to acquire. so far my efforts online have returned naught, the only vague entry being one on the amazon france website, which lists it as unavailable. people have this music though, because there is a last.fm entry for the album, albeit with an image of the donnie darko soundtrack cd cover attached to it, but the tracklisting is accuracte. someone somewhere in the world is listening to this soundtrack, and goddamnit i want it.
cypher of-course does not remotely approach the greatness of solaris, or even the goodness of gatacca, mainly because of its (cypher’s) clumsy conclusion, but michael andrews’ soundtrack is every bit as brilliant as cliff martinez’ solaris. it is abstract, minimal, and brilliantly haunting. absolutely perfect for my tastes.
for the person who turns up on my doorstep with a legitimate copy of this cd in pristine condition, sleves and jewel case intact, i will purchase the current generation console of their choice, PC hardware to the equivalent value, or cash to that effect should none of those items be desireable. this is how much i want this cd. you know how to reach me.
no, you don’t understand.
you don’t have to.
just get me this cd.
