anime soundtracks | anime vs north america

bless amazon (several times now).
today the someday’s dreamers and texhnolyze (music only music but music) arrived today.  someday’s dreamers is fantastic, as is texhnolyze.  i only purchase anime soundtracks now.  i’ve realised what’s wrong with north american and traditional films.

the rest of the world is still fighting evil.  it still sees itself as inherently good.  good and evil – what immature ideas.  anime – certainly not all of it – but a healthy slice – acknowledges that these are small ideas.  anime is confronting the self – examines self, sees good and evil things existing in the same space, in the same awareness – things that are a part of us.  instead of attempting to purge one and promote the other, good anime examines the whole and portrays it simply as life.

there is no need for further explanation.  those who understand already understand – by no means am i even among the first to say such things – even these ideas are old.

but popular culture is still battling evil and trying to be good.

once again i laugh.

Sugoiiii! Someday Dreamers and Texhnolyze soundtrack! *goes into song* “it is the end of stolid skies” *sniff*. (;_;) Anyway. Yes. Anime is such a higher medium to put idea forth. One only needs to see the ABe stuff and be in awe.
