once upon a time we had good excuses to get riled-up, but the diarymaster and the ops here, bless their hard working souls, are doing their best and are keeping us informed with what’s happening.

so before you start, shut your mouth.

you should be in the habit of making backups.  not because of the reliability of opendiary, because of the reliability of computers.  anyone using any kind of computer of any description should be in the habit of making backups.  there are no excuses.

most of us aren’t paying for anything.  it’s a privilage that is provided by the kind people of opendiary.  they don’t have to provide it for you.  be thankful.  those who are paying will be credited.  you haven’t payed for the downtime either.

once upon a time people wrote with pen and paper.  in my satchel there will always live at least two pens and no less than one diary or notepad, if not two or three.  you have hands, if you have a computer or access to one then you certainly have the three dollars it will cost you for a notebook and a decent pen.  this diary should not be the end-all of your expression of literature.  go and write.  with a pen.  and somewhere other than infront of your screen.  there exist any number of places in nature you can achieve this.  the first being the place you inhabit, the next being your immediate surroundings.  it’s not that hard.
