wongizer

my multimedia lecturer tells us to bring in examples of good or bad multimedia.
after a heated discussion about the tragically pseudo-spiritual interactive exhibition ‘the house of tomorrow’ which we had to endure last week, i give him the everything everything dvd, underworld live.
though unable to get to it during class because of a quick lesson in flash, which i must say is pretty nifty even i probably won’t ever use it outside of class, i go home and run the dvd again.
it’s not exactly that you forget how good something is, do you?  but you do forget in some other sense.  after watching the concert (in which i flicked to the tomato art a few times) i booted up the rom features.  i don’t think i’ve ever appreciated tomato art so much as when i’m using it in the wongizer.  underworld’s music is so amazing, but the vibes created from having the motion-art there just amplifies how much underworld and tomato are like the same entity – not just because rick and karl co-founded it, but just the atmostphere.  it becomes hard to explain from this point on.

suffice to say, it’s pretty amazing – i recommend it to anyone who’s into visual media and/or good (good!) electronic music to get this dvd and load it in a dvd-rom drive in a mac or pc (supports both) – after a brief install just leave the dvd in (required for running) and boot up the shortcut it creates.

underworld live, everything everything.
