Birthday Present

Master 8 is sitting at the kitchen table this morning eating breakfast and I am standing in the kitchen making healthy salads for hubby and I for lunch.

Out of the blue he pipes up with "You were 26 when you had me weren’t you mum."

"Nope love I was 25, but I turned 26 just after having you, so that was some pretty good maths you did in your head there."

"So you could say then that I was an early birthday present then couldn’t you."

"Well I guess you could love."

"Isn’t it a shame I didn’t come out in a box wrapped in a bow?"

Ummm no! I had a hard enough time getting him out without a box and a bow thank you very much!

"Nope, you were perfect just the way you were when you came out."
