Memories (poem)

Memories of you float through my mind

and gently numb the pain

that I used to feel

when I saw you

For each time I see you now

and we talk about yesterday

I can laugh without tears in my eyes

And I can remember without

the heartache-

It’s taken such a long time

for me to get over you

And now I can say

thank-you

so very much

for the memories
