Happy Veterans Day! 🙂 Thank you to those that have served our country and to those that continue to serve. Your efforts and sacrifices do not go unnoticed.
I have been feeling particularly thankful today so I think I’m going to bullet those things. I know it’s not Thanksgiving yet but I figure it’s okay to be thankful on other days, too.
My family. They support me when I need it but also know when to tell me that I’m being a dipshit. They love me unconditionally and I am so thankful for that. Not everyone is so lucky.
My friends. The people that I chose to have in my life – and they chose to have me in theirs!
My boyfriend. Matt is wonderful. He knows me, good and bad. He accepts me, good and bad. He loves me, good and bad. He has taught me so many things about life, love and myself. I am a much happier and more positive person because of him.
My cat. Widget is my fur-baby. He makes me laugh and he tries my patience. I may not have a human child but Widget fills that void in my life.
My job. I love my job. I know that I complain and vent about it but I do love my job. It’s fun, it’s different, it’s chaos, it’s challenging.
My co-workers. Most of those co-workers also fit into the friends category. I work with a broad spectrum of people from many different countries and cultures, they have all taught me so much about the world. They see the natural leader in me that I don’t always see in myself. They are an incredible network of support that I sometimes need because I am so far away from my family and many of my friends.
My car. I’m a Subaru driver for life. Love.
My home. It is warm, it is safe, it is happy. It’s a work in progress!
My life. I love being alive. Of course I don’t know any differently(haha) but there are days that I am just in awe of life and being alive. I take in the world around me – the sky, the sun, the moon, the ground, the plants, the trees, the critters… And I am continually amazed.
Work was okay today, typical Monday. My area manager called me down to his office for a meeting with him and Gabe. I was like ooooooh buddy. I had NO idea why I was being called down there. Naturally I was stressing out and thought I was being fired, ha. It was actually about those swapped lots I found a few weeks ago. I was given a $100.00 giftcard for dinner at Bonefish, Outback, Carabas(SP?) or any of their other affiliated restaurants. I know where Matt and I are going when he gets home from Europe! Hello Bonefish! 😉 It was a total surprise – I was not expecting it at all.
Alright I am out of here, it is about shower and bedtime. Later taters. 🙂
Must be something about Suburus… people seem to be rabid about them!

RYN: Yes, I remember those snows- I am glad I drive a stick shift, so I could take off in second gear.

Wow…how awesome of your work! Of course it was well deserved. Nice to be recognized though. I love my husband’s Subaru. Pretty sure that will be my next car, especially living here in Flag. 🙂
