Things in Life that I know are True.*

  • Spring in Northern Virginia is beautiful.  It never ceases to amaze me how green and lush everything is after a long winter of brown and dull.
  • The older I get the more I realize that my Gramma really had life figured out.  Or at least knew a few secrets.
  • Even though Widget can be a brat he does make a good alarm clock.  This was solidified into fact yesterday morning when Matt set our alarm for 4:30PM instead of 4:30AM and we needed to be up and out of the house at 5:00AM.  Widget saved the day by hopping up on the bed and meowing at me at 4:40.
  • Matt is wonderful.
  • Coke is just a little bit better than Pepsi.  Just a little.
  • He who walks first down the beach finds the best skipping stones.
  • A hug will make any day just a little bit better.
  • The older I get the more I find myself liking things I hated as a child – even though I still feel like a kid inside.
  • Few things in life are as awesome as drinking a tasty cold beer on a humid summer night while sitting on the porch watching the fireflies light up their little butts.
  • Coloring will always be one of my favorite things.
  • To forgive is easier than to forget.
  • Slipping into a warm bubble bath helps shed a bad day – it’ll go right down the drain with the water when all is said and done.
  • I can’t control what other people do but I can control my actions and reactions.
  • Freckles really ARE kisses from the sun.
  • I am naked under my clothes.  And so are YOU!
  • On the naked note – animals are little nudists, they walk around au natural all of the time.  Kind of not fair.
  • Some questions will never have answers – and even if a question does have an answer it doesn’t necessarily make it the correct one.
  • Senses of humor are like fine wines – they only get better with age.  Well, most of the time.
  • Big Cheez-Its taste better than regular size Cheez-Its.  True story.
  • It can always be worse but that doesn’t make a problem any less significant.  A problem is a problem, big or small.
  • I may be "too nice" but it’s better than being a bitch.
  • Christmas socks are better than any other kind of sock.

I could probably do this nonsense all day but I won’t. 🙂  Later taters.

Found out the online store for KangaROOS was closing so they had a lot of their shoes really cheap plus free shipping.  Found a pair that I liked and thought that they would be mostly tan with a bit of green.  But then I opened up the box…

These are awesomely delightful and I KNOW that is true:

Best surprise I’ve had in a while. 🙂

I loved this. It was random, and fun, and true. Coke is wayyy better than Pepsi. Baths always make things feel better. I wish I had more freckles. I get them on my cheeks when I get tan, but I just think they’re so cute!

I love these. Thanks! 🙂

Coke IS just a tad better than Pepsi, agreed! I LOVE a long, hot bubble bath at the end of a rough day. Today wasn’t really rough but I think it still calls for at least a hot bag. 😉 “I can’t control what other people do but I can control my actions and reactions.” — AMEN! PS, I LOVE this entry. I’m Reader Choice-ing it!
