I’m going to unofficially try out NoJoMo, again, this year.  Perhaps I will complete it?  I feel really disconnected from writing in my diary sometimes and I’d like to get back into it.

Last night Matt and I spent our first official night here in our house!  🙂  There are a million things that still need to be done around the house but we’re here anyway.  All in due time, right?  Major things that still need to be done/completed:

• Cabinets for the kitchen – due in Friday!  After that we wait until December for the dishwasher and over-the-rage microwave.
• Painting touch-ups.  I am too observant for my own good and notice the TINIEST defects in the paint job.
• Actually moving the rest of our furniture and stuff upstairs from the basement.  Most likely will happen after the paint is touched up.
• Unpack and put away what we DO have upstairs.  Perhaps that will happen tomorrow.

*sighs*  Cards lost tonight.  I don’t know why they can’t win at home…  🙁

Since Daylight Savings Time ended today we were both up fairly early, probably around 7 or 7:30.  I know, I should have slept in more but when you get up around 5:30AM on work days getting up around then is sleeping in.  😉  We ‘christened’ our bedroom this morning after we woke up as well.  Very nice.

Oh, I guess yesterday was Halloween.  I was at work(like I am every other Saturday) and then came home to the house to find Matt and Widget here waiting for me.  🙂  We moved around some furniture that Matt and Scott had brought upstairs earlier in the day and set up a makeshift living room.  Matt and I watched something on TV(Scream, I think?) and then called it a pretty early night.  I felt like a loser for not going out and having some fun on Halloween but I was so freaking tired after the past few weeks I just wanted a low key kind of night.  Maybe next year will be more fun.

As far as today went we just did some shopping, got a few groceries and slippers for both of us since we have all of these cold, hardwood floors to walk on now.  😀  Widget’s been wandering around sniffing everything that he can.  He LOVES the basement, I keep chuckling to myself because I always think of LOLcats.  Tomorrow we need to be up kind of early so I can drop off Shadowfax at the dealership, I need to get the relay on my left blinker checked and she is due for her 12K mile service.   I can’t believe I’ve put 12K miles on my car already!  CRAZY.  Feels like I just got her yesterday…

On a random note I keep forgetting that we have no window treatments(ie blinds or curtains) and have been walking around either naked or half dressed.  I really hope that we don’t have nosey neighbors across the street otherwise they have gotten quite the show.
