Sunday = the best.

 I’ve been meaning to write for the past few days – really write – but of course the lazies have taken over and I’ve not written anything at all.  Lazies are winning the game against me, I tell you.

Today is my first day off after a 5 day/60 hour work week.  I don’t know how you people that work 5 days a week do it.  I really don’t.  No thanks, none for me!  The next time I do OT it’ll be between days off so that I am not so worn out.  🙂

Speaking of work, Miss Indu came and sat down to talk to me on Wednesday or Thursday to tell me thank you, that her Manufacturing Technician promotion finally went through.  I knew she was getting promoted and that it was "finalized" ages ago but it takes forever for that stuff to go through the system.  Anyway, I told her congratulations again and that I was very happy and excited for her!  She then told me thank you, that without me she’d never have been able to do it.  That it was my hard work paying off, not hers.  I really didn’t know what to say to her(other than thank you) but really, it’s a team effort.  And then yesterday I was sitting down in Bay 29 with her at the computers just chatting after I’d checked on some machines in Bay X when Mike walked by asking if I was "checking up" on them.  I laughed and told him he was a jerk and that he is mean for even thinking that about me(Mike was kidding, by the way).  Then Indu said that how all of the shifts are "talking about me," about how nice I am.  Mike agreed with her and I just laughed and told them both they were NUTS.  I guess I don’t think of myself as being that nice because I know what goes on inside my head, lol.  I wouldn’t always call what I think very nice at all!

Tomorrow is another C/F Shift gathering for a BBQ and some flag-football out at Lake of the Woods where one of our techs lives.  It’s about an hour or so away so we’re carpooling out there, it’ll be kind of nice to not have to drive!  The last time we got together back in July we played some basketball and I was eaten alive by mosquitos.  No good!  I need to remember to take my camera this time and actually take some pictures while I’m at it.  Not that you’ll see them or anything since I suck so much at posting them. 🙂

I really need to get up and moving around, at least take a dang shower and go to Wal*Mart for some stuff.  OH, I also need to go by Starbucks and get a Pumpkin Spice Frappy!  YUM.

Cardinals season opener is today vs. the 49ers!  My little brother is going to the game(I = envious)!  Of course he is rooting for the 49ers but that is okay.  Instead we will get the Giants vs. Deadskins game since the Redskins are the local team.  I hope they lose, ha.  Denver is playing Cinncy today and looks like they are going to win!

Matt should be home shortly – he’s not been home since he left for work last night!  After his shift was up this morning he flew out to Campbell Field for the Soup on Sunday Fly-In they have just about every Sunday.  I don’t know how it is possible he is still awake, I would have crashed HARD by now.  I’m sure he’ll come home and crash immediately but hopefully he’ll sleep all night so that’ll get us on the same schedule tomorrow and for the rest of the weekend.  He comes back to day shift in October so that’ll be nice for moving and what not.

So house stuff: we’d not had any running water there for the past, oh, 2 weeks I guess?  We are on well water there and I am so naive to that stuff I had no idea what could be wrong with it.  Matt was pretty clueless as well.  Anyway, the plumber finally went out there on Tues or Weds and it turns out the frigging well PUMP had caught fire under the ground and caused some wires to melt together due to a lovely do-it-yourself insulation job.  New pump and $2,500 later there is running water at the house again.  I had need to get out there and start stripping the wallpaper but I’ve already made it obvious that I am lazy.  🙂  Matt said Derek(our contractor) knows someone that can get us a nice set of kitchen cabinets for 4-5K so yay for that!  I’m excited we’ll be getting all brand-new cabinets in the kitchen!  We were kind of wondering if we should just keep the old ones on top since they weren’t THAT bad but then nothing would have matched.  I know how shallow that sounds but I want our home to look nice.  And the nicer it looks now the nicer it’s going to look in the future when it gets sold.  I think the only concrete thing we’ve decided on is the tile in the bathroom, everything is still up in the air.  We need to make some serious decisions though!

Alright I think I should go shower and get myself out of the apartment.  Overall update is that life is good!  Hope you are all doing well.  🙂  Later taters!

Your life seems so great lately. I’m jealous. 🙂 <3

Pumpkin Spice frapp… Mmm that sounds delicious

We’re seeing the Giants vs Redskins game here too. 😛

Working 5 days straight really isn’t so bad when it’s only 40 hours, rather than 60.

glad life is good – when will you LIVE in the house?

Good luck with the house stuff! 🙂 RYN: Mine was started in 2002. Everything is private for the most part. Every few months I just feel like its time to move on and just start fresh. It makes me feel better. But I never delete. 😛
