The little things.

The more I move along through life the more I realize that the little things matter the most.  Those things that don’t cost anyone anything but a little bit of time and a few thoughts here and there…who can’t afford that?  Well…some people probably can’t afford to stop and think for a while but that’s beside the point! 🙂

It snowed tonight and as I was walking downstairs from the fab I was trying to carefully plan my 100 minutes of break…5 minutes to suit down and get out the door, 5-10 minutes to scrape the ice and snow off of my car, 7ish minutes to drive home, etc.  As I am walking out through the front doors I look up across the parking lot to see how much snow had accumulated on the cars.  I see my car and have to blink several times…someone had already scraped all of that off of my windshield, windows, rear window and head/tail lights!  I dug my phone out of my pocket and gave Matt a call and asked him if he’d scraped my car off.  He replied with a "maaaaaybe" and my spirit was instantly lifted(it’s been kind of a stressful shift).  I asked him how much longer he was going to be at home and he said he’d be here for a bit longer, so I was able to thank him with a hug and a kiss once I got home.

I don’t need for Matt to buy me gifts, flowers or tell me that he loves me everyday.  It is these little things in life that let me know that he loves, cares and thinks about me.  I am a lucky girl!
