roar.

It’s back to work for me…aww.  At least it’s only 3 nights this week.  🙂  I am still debating on OT or not this weekend, we shall see.  *yawns*

I went to bed around 11:00PM last night and slept pretty well.  Finally got up around 9:30 to get some laundry done.  I might go nap again before the day is up otherwise I think I will be pretty tired at work tonight.  Not that that is anything new but at least I don’t feel as shitty as I did last week.  I was in mega-grump mode and just bleck.

I know this is old news but I am still in shock over Steve Irwin dying.  I really don’t know why but his death makes me very sad.  I didn’t watch his show religiously by any means or really follow his career that closely, I guess it was just that he was passionate about what he did and he really cared.  And of all things to kill that man…a sting ray?!  I have to confess to my morbid curiosity to see the video of his death even though I know it will just upset me.  I lead such a sheltered life I have a hard time believing that things like that really do happen.  I’m a freak, what can I say.

Yesterday the mailman dropped off a wee package on my doorstep from my Aunt Jeanne up in NY.  I opened up the box and found two wee glass angels with Matt’s name and my name on them.  How cute, our first "name things"!  Matt will have to see his next week when he gets home from CO!  They are very cute, I should take some pictures today…if only I had some charged batteries laying around.  I wonder if Matt and I should take a 2 day trip up to Buffalo to see my aunties, airfare can’t be too expensive and we’d have free room and board…and neither of us have been to Buffalo yet.  Hmmm.

I am so excited that it’s getting closer to fall and winter!  I can’t wait to see the seasons change and hello it’s that time of year for everything PUMPKIN!  Mmmm…pumpkin.  I should change up my diary colors to reflect my happiness but alas I am feeling that would require too much effort. at the moment.

I ordered Care Bear checks yesterday; I am eternally 5 years old.  At least now I will have checks that reflect my current address and hello duplicates!  I could finally afford them after years of using the plain boring bank ones with a very old address on them.

A new comforter was finally purchased!  Matt’s had our current comforter since he started college in 2000 so you can imagine that it has seen better days.  🙂  I kept putting off buying one to wait until he and I could pick one out together but he told me that I could just go ahead and order one if I found something that I liked.  I wound up with a down comforter that is navy blue on one side and deep red on the other(you know, to change things up a bit) via overstock.com for $50.00.  I ordered the King size even though we only have a queen size bed, you can never have enough blanket sometimes!  I can’t wait for it to arrive!

The house bug has bitten me lately!  I really want a house and something to fix up…to be proud of.  Unfortunately housing out here is OUTRAGEOUS and I can’t fathom paying as much for a house that you can get out west for half the price.  Perhaps Arizona has spoiled me.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is being released July 13th of next year.  😀  Now when is book 7 coming out?!
