no time!

Things are good!  Been pretty busy lately but all is well.  Tammy and Derek arrived here early Sunday morning after Matt and I got off from work so we’ve had company all week!  They are in D.C.(again!) right now and Matt and I are relaxing before our shift starts.  Boo work!  I should have called out today but that would not have been very responsible of me and I’m still trying to make a good impression.  I worked some OT on Saturday night and it was kind of different as I was working with a different shift of people even though I knew a few of them already as they had previously worked some OT on my shift.  I’m not sure how often I will do the extra OT(as I have to do it at least once a month), I guess whenever I feel like working a Saturday night.  My last day at Blockbuster should be sometime next week which is sad but I know it was the right choice for me to make.

Stopped at Michael’s today and picked up yarn for Jen’s purse.  The girl is not answering her e-mail so I can’t start on the thing just yet.  Still working on some scarves for people and my own purse at that(which is actually in AZ, forgot it there) I guess I am just a multi-project kind of gal.

Matt, Tammy, Derek and I tested out the pool here at the apartment the other day.  It wasn’t bad, a little chilly but it felt good once my body adjusted to it.  Man whatever happened to the kid who’d jump in freezing cold water just to swim?  As I’ve grown up I have become more cautious and wussy than I would have ever imagined.  I used to be called fearless now I am just called paranoid.  Bad exchange.  Our pool kinda sucks though, for one thing it’s only open until 8:00 at night.  8:00?!  And there is a lifeguard on duty which means NO fun!  I realize that being careful in water is a good thing but talk about ruining some fun before it even starts.  At least I have a pool to swim at though.

I came home from D.C. with a sunburn yesterday and I’m not very excited about it.  *sighs*  I swear I’m going to wind up with skin cancer.

I need to skedaddle though, Jen’s finally answered me and I want to start on  her purse.  🙂  I’ll update again at a later date with more details and pictures that have become very backed up.  Maybe I’ll have a little more time once I’m only workin’ one job.  Later taters, have a good one!

Aw that’s cute that you make purses and scarves for people! I wish I was that crafty. I am scrapbooking wise… I should make frames or something for my friends. 😛 PS… I totally have yet to write you back. I need to do that.

When I think about the things I used to do as a kid when my mom wasn’t looking… it makes me thank the good Lord I never broke a bone, other than my nose, twice (I don’t know how I managed that…). Call me paranoid too! We can be crazy together 🙂 ryn: it is a sin to not love pizza, but I figure I’m pretty sorry that I don’t like it since it looks so good, so that must mean something, right?
