Alright, I know its been a while since I wrote a real entry so here we go.

Mom went to her oncologist last week.  She won’t be getting her sixth dose of chemo.  It has been so long since she had the last five and she did have five doses so we don’t have much to worry about.  Her T-125 markers are zero in her bloodwork.  There is no need to put her through the sickness of chemo again for only one treatment.  They will however keep an eye on her.  She has to have and MRI every six months for rest of her life.  There is a likelyhood of her having a second cancer down the road.  Most ovarian cancer survivors end up with breast cancer.

I hate statistics.

She did havbe a mamogram a couple of weeks ago.  It was clear except for a few fibriods she has always had.1

Doll is doing just fine these days.  The attitude is unreal.  She is down right mean sometimes.  While we were at Chucky Cheese’s on Monday she got pissed at Jesse for getting in her way and started clawing him.  She has taken to biting a nd hitting, but onle Jesse.  I guess they really are like brother and sister.  They are closer than an uncle and niece should be I guess.

She has learned to walk backwards.  There are a few bruises and scraps on her body since we discovered this new trick.

She is finally talking.  I was worried that she wouldn’t talk.  I should have kept my mouth shut.  Now she won’t shut up.  She babbles from sunup to bedtime.  There are even a few words that make sense now.

  • gog – dog
  • gog – cat
  • gog – cow
  • gog – any animal she sees
  • bu – bird
  • cokecoke – any drink
  • mama
  • dada
  • bubba
  • memaw
  • gaga – grampa
  • bu – Brandy
  • gaagaaaaa – Granny

I guess I could make a whole entry on that later.

Now that Mom is done with chemo, I will get her caught up on all her shots.  She will have to get them all the way back to her twelve month set.  I’m sure it makes me a bad mother, but my mom couldn’t go three weeks without seeing her.

Joseph and I are fine.  He has been working mainly night shifts here lately so we don’t see that much of each other.  It sucks, but it does make for great sex wen we get the chance.  🙂

Oh well, out of things to say now.  Maybe something interresting later.

Y’all take care and hug those babies tight.

Congrats to your mom! That’s such a large leap she made, and I’m so happy to hear she won’t have to go through it again! I love when people beat the odds, especially with ovarian cancer. I never met my own grandmother who died at 38 because of the same, awful disease. *hugs* I’m so happy to hear that she’s doing so well.
