What has Been Going On

Kay, yesterday we (Joseph and I) got aback from running errands and Brandi was starving. Having not completely gotten over all my illness, I set Mom up with all her needs and got Brandi taken care of. I high tailed it to the potty (Yes, I called it a potty, I have a 3 year old in the house.) and took care of my business. When I went back to check on them, my mom’s head was shaking. She started screaming “It hurts! Mandy! Help, it hurts.” I got Brandi out of her arms and let her seizure continue. She was shaking, her back was arched and her limbs were out stiff and straight. My grandmother walked in the door as the seizure finished, and told Mom she needed to go to the hospital. He speech was slurred and her head was still shaking. She kept telling my grandmother “I be goood!! I swear. I be goood!” I called the ambulance. When they got there, she still couldn’t talk. She couldn’t walk to the gurney. Every time she tried to stand, her feet just slid across the carpet.

At the hospital they ran a CAT scan. They know it wasn’t a stroke, but they don’t know what is causing them. Now she is on Dilantin. It slows the seizures. The really can’t do anything else until they find out why.

I’ll let y’all know more when I do. By the way, Brandi’s test results came back normal. So now I have to go and find out exactly why she had to be tortured in the first place.

Gotta go. Gotta get back to the hospital.
