36 Week Visit

Okay, had to go to the doctor today. It was a quick appointment, but it really sucked. My blood pressure has dropped back down to normal and my sugars are great. No one warned me that the doctor would be checking my cervix today though. I know y’all are all like “Hey dumbass, you’re almost due, when did you think they were going to check you for dilatation?” However, it still would have been nice to have a warning. My OB thinks he is a comedian or something, because he warned me that the KY was cold, but he didn’t tell me how bad the exam was going to hurt. I feel quite certain that a pair of salad tongs shoved up my vagina would have been more comfortable than that. Are y’all done laughing? I’m not trying to scare those who haven’t been there, but as most people will tell you, it was uncomfortable. Uncomfortable? Uncomfortable is a word used to describe a mattress that is to hard, not a man shoving his fingers up your already overworked woman parts. Anyway, point of the whole damned exam, I’m completely closed. Looks like she may hold in there for a while.

Y’all take care,

Mandy

EWWWWW!!!! Now I NEVER wanna go to the gyno!!! Jeeeez…… :-

i understand- im only 22wks BUT in my 12th week i went for blood tests & a tummy feel…that is what i was told…BUT NOOOOOOO it was an internal examination- & warning would have been nice…but as my Ob said “if i’d told u that, you wouldnt have come”…i just loved the look on simon’s face- he went completely pale,& then bright red,& left the room in a hurry & opted to stay in the waiting room!

Hehe, yes I definatly think salad tongs would feel better. At the hospital I’ll be delivering at they keep the ducks (speculums) in a boot warmer in their sterile baggies, so they’re nice n warm!! I think my GP has a fridge for them tho! I have an appointment on tuesday and suspect they’re gonna check for dilation…. GP isnt too bad with internals tho thank god! xxx

It’s not any worse than a regular gyno exam, is it?
