I’m talking again
I cant imagine why yall read my diary. I almost never update the thing. But Ive got a few things to talk about today. Yeah for me, Ive had a life this week.
Lets see now. Friday make 34 weeks. Dear Lord, six weeks left. Who in the hell thought that is would be okay to trust me with and infant of my own and now Ive only got six weeks left to get ready. My mom bought little tight for Brandi to wear in her pictures, for those of you like me who didnt know, some dumb ass makes pantyhose to put on a baby. And when you have your first little girl, its mandatory to put her in frilly little lacy things. I can barely dress myself. Why would anyone think that I could put pantyhose on a squirming, crying infant?
Opps, went completely off subject. As I was saying before pregnancy brain took over, only six weeks left. We really dont have a thing done. Joseph finally set the crib up yesterday. Now I have to take bleach and wipe down the whole thing, because it was a display unit in the store, and I dont know what kind of weirdoes were touching my crib. Have to get the mattress set up in there. Wash all the clothes and bedding. Organize the stuff in drawers. I guess thats not to bad. Im worried though. I havent been able to buy a thing for the baby. We really dont have a bunch of stuff yet. As I was informed, its impolite to buy stuff before your shower. My thinking is the fact that I dont know half of the people coming, so how do I know that they are going to buy anything anyway? If it were me, I would just buy a pack of diapers or something and show up for the food. That sounds really shitty, but I think that it is fairly true. Okay so Im in bitch mode today. So sue me.
Monday was a long ass day. We had to meet with my moms disability lawyer. That sucked. Didnt go all like we expected it to. We were there for like three hours. It got really long and drawn out.
Went to my first birthing class on Monday night. Joseph couldnt go, so I took Brandy with me. It was fairly interesting. Nutrition was boring as hell. I could have taught that part after being in the hospital for a week. The video of the birth was actually kind of neat. Not nasty or weird like I thought it would be. The only really gross part was that the nurse brought the mother the placenta to examine. They were poking on it and feeling it. It looked like an oversized liver laying in a plate. **gag, choke, heave** I have defiantly decided that they can keep that thing away from me. I really have no need to touch it or play with it.
I guess thats about enough for now. Yall have a nice weekend. Im off to court with Mom on Wednesday and doctor on Thursday, so Ill try to catch yall up sometime next week.
Take Care,
Mandy
