The “pick up”

♥ He picked me up today. Literally. As in, feet off the ground, arms around my waist, foot pop and all.

This doesn’t happen to girls like me. I’m am no small girl in any sense (though I will say that I am already finding my new size 16 pants to be too big..yay!) and guys don’t typically even dare to attempt to lift someone like me off the ground. 

But he swept me off my feet today, literally, and I can’t stop thinking about it. 

He texted me early this morning to tell me he was working in town. We chatted back and forth for a bit, I told him I had plans already with my friend (Erin) and that I wasn’t sure I would be able to meet him. He told me he’d really like to see me after he was done working and before he headed in to ANOTHER job in his city. I just automatically figured he wanted a quick hook-up, so even though I was trying not to have to tell him, I had to give him the real reason I couldn’t meet up- It’s my time of the month. Ugh! I so didn’t want to have to tell him… as turns out, he never expected anything and really only had a few minutes- and just wanted to see me, maybe steal a kiss or two and head back into the city. 

Boy did I feel silly. Ha!

It made me super happy to know that he really just wanted to see me and say hello and steal a kiss while he was around. He wanted to tell me that I made him all giddy and that he was looking forward to seeing me Monday night. Then, as we chatted and smooched, we lost track of time and an HOUR flew by without it even feeling like 10 minutes! He told me he was supposed to be at his other job in 10 minutes- of course, he job was about 45 minutes away from where we were! haha. He told me it was worth it to see me, and then we got out of the car we were chatting in and he told me he wanted to give me a proper goodbye/see ya later. He proceeded to wrap his arms around my middle and lift me up off the ground, kissing me and making it seem effortless. I definitely had a foot pop moment and then he put my back on the ground. 

in my highest heels… and he was STILL taller than me!  *swoon*

God I like this guy.
