DePhoMo Seven + Work party

Today’s theme is Upside-down, backwards or angels. I have a funny feeling that it might have meant to be angles, but since I think it’s hilarious, I’m posting this.

It’s not a good quality picture (thanks cell phone!) but I wasn’t in the mood to do anything fancy.

 We had our company Christmas party tonight. We (Kirsty, Laura and I) went after work. We were told that dinner was being served at 6:30 and that they did that so that we could attend. Of course, we don’t even get done until 6 and then we had to drive from Carleton Place to Smiths Falls, stopping to switch out cars and pick up laura.. by the time we got there it was 20 to 7. As SOON as we walked in the door and someone spotted us, they lined up for the buffet dinner. We hadn’t even sat down yet! 

The party was lacking. I wouldn’t have called it a party; it was more of a quiet dinner. There wasn’t anything special- not even a "thanks for working for us, Merry Christmas!". I payed $20 to serve my own food (only allowed to go once, no refills) buy my drink (unless I wanted water) and sit at a table with people I didn’t know because no one bothered to save us seats where we could all sit together. It was a shitty time and I WON’T be going next year.

The best part of the night was going to a bar afterwards with the girls and laughing. That, and getting to dress up and wear my new sparkly earrings.

Waste of a night.
