Sushi!
The day didn’t end up being a total wash yesterday after all. My bad mood quickly disappeared and the remainder of the day was good. Erin and I went to Kanata to see a movie (Paranormal Activity 3) and have dinner. The movie was just o.k., nothing special. The first 2 were definitely better, but at least the theater was practically empty this time.
For dinner, Erin chose a little place called The Fusion. She saw that they had "Funky Wraps" and insisted that’s what she wanted- but sushi was the obvious main draw of the place. I LOVE sushi- authentic sushi, not the western worlds version (save for California rolls, they’re good). The head chef of the place even came out when the food was delivered to our table because he wanted to see his masterpiece go to the person who ordered it. Apparently, he puts a lot of work into the presentation:
The sashimi was in the glass on ice and the nigiri is on the plate (which is basically just the sashimi on a roll of rice). + the California rolls… so good.
anywhore…
Today is my cousin nick’s 8th birthday so we’re going to a party later. Yesterday was the 3rd anniversary of my uncle Gary’s passing away and tomorrow is the 4th anniversary of my nanny’s passing. What a week.
RYN: Thank you!
