Beautiful Day!

 Dear Diary;

It was a gorgeous day for a festival!

I went to the Festival of the Maples today in my town. Browsed the booths filled with maple products (mostly maple syrup), handmade goodies and random alpacas. My friend Mandy and her GF were playing in their steel drum band again this year, so I got to check that out and hang out with them for a while.

While I was standing there listening to the music they were playing, I looked around and spotted this:

and then proceeded to FLIP OUT!! 

We used to have one of these at Camp Davern and we called it the  "moomoo". At some point it got ruined and was lost or tossed or whatever and we have been looking for one ever since. The only problem was that we had no idea what it was called or where to get them. you can bet when I saw this I ran over, snapped this picture with my phone and then asked them what the heck it was called and where it came from. I had to go on a bit of a goose chase trying to find the owner, but it was worth it because I solved the moomoo mystery! It’s called a lycra tube and wouldn’t you know it, when you have the name of it you can actually search for it online. I was SO excited to come home and search it (and find it). 

The only downside was finding out it costs over $100. Oh well, I’ll add it to the new Davern wishlist.

I am so tired and stiff tonight. I’ve really been trying to be more active lately to prepare for summer and so far the only result is stiff, sore knees. My reward for walking EVERYWHERE today is fresh, clean sheets on my bed.

Speaking of bed, it’s calling my name.
