NJM 19 – Database and $$$

 Dear Diary;

Work went much smoother today than it has since I started, so I’m pretty thrilled about that. I think part of it was because I spent the morning at Database training instead of the job placement and then in the final couple of hours the supervisor was there and she took more time to explain how things worked to me. The people who I worked with last Friday didn’t do that at all. They just expected me to know everything already. I also got the chance to meet with my direct supervisor for the After School program I’m starting next week- and she seems like a hoot. She’s got a really thick British accent (so cool!) and she’s bubbly and nice. She’s also very ‘by the book’ about standards- which I LOVE. We got talking about how the old program (run by different people) handles their medications and we were both disgusted by it.

I’m picking up more shifts already, which is good. Money, money, money. I’m working next Monday and Wednesday and then the week after it’ll be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and then both places on Friday. It looks as though I’ll be getting my 12 shifts in before Christmas, which means that I’ll get PAID for Christmas, Boxing Day and New Years Day and I won’t be working! Whoopiee!!

 I had a shitty sleep last night (4 hours, tops) so I think I’m going to go have a nap.
