NJM 13- Another epic movie theater experience.
Dear Diary;
I didn’t touch my camera today at all, so no photos.
Erin and I went to see Paranormal Activity 2 tonight in the theater. If you’ve read any of my movie theater experiences before, you’ll know that I often have some interesting distractions. Tonight was no different- but it was a little more epic.
Picture this…
Smallest theater in the building. Half full when we go in and find our seats. The movie starts and that’s when people start pouring in. Eventually, there gets to be a point where there aren’t big groups of seats together- so you can imagine what happens when a large group of people come in together. They stand there at the bottom and talk about where they’re going to sit, and they point and they discuss and then they decide to start asking people to move so they can all sit together.
Eventually, that gets solved.
Getting into the thick of the movie, things are starting to happen, people are on edge because there have been some scary points that make people jump. Something scary happens and a bunch of people burst out laughing. (clearly nervous laughter from all over the theater)
"hahahahhahahah whoa hahahhahahhhaaaahahahha omg haha"
….
…
"SHUT UP!" <- comes from two seats over. Then she leans over and gives props to the person sitting beside her.
wtf?
moments later, a woman a few rows in front of us gets up and walks to the front of the theater where a group of teenage boys are sitting. She leans in and clearly gives them and quiet, but stern talking to.
the rest of the movie is silent, until the end.
As people are leaving several groups of people are heard shouting "SHUT UP!".
We leave the building and a few steps out the door, Erin bursts out laughing and she can’t stop. I yell "SHUT UP", give her props and we head home.
Epic.
I love going to matinees when everyone is at work and a movie has been out for a while so I can have most of the theater to myself. ** giggling madly ** I mean, it can be fun to see a movie with a bunch of people in the theater, but most of the time I end up missing dialogue and end up having to rent the stupid movie just so I can hear all the parts I missed! Doh!
