NJM 1 – hoops

 Dear Diary;

I guess I’ll attempt NoJoMo again. Usually by the end though, I’m not wanting to write anymore.

I start work this week! I’m trying REALLY hard to keep as positive and excited about it as I can so I won’t let my anxiety take over. I just keep thinking about all the benefits of having this job… and I try to forget that it’s working directly with people- because that’s where I get nervous.

I’ve had to jump through hoops this week just to fill out all the damn paperwork that they need to start the job. I swear there was a pile of papers to fill out. I had to go get another police records check which was frustrating.. you can’t just go and grab the paper and fill it out anymore- you have to get like 3 papers and one of them has to be filled out by your employer before you can even get the work processed. I was frustrated because the first time I went in I asked the guy at the desk if the paper on the clipboard was what I needed- and he said Yes. So I took it to the Perth office and had them sign it and then I took it back and another girl was at the desk and she tells me that I also need these other two papers filled out- one by the employer- so I had to go BACK and have them fill out another form. Ridiculous.

Today I’m working on the insurance paper. I need to get 2 million liability or something like that on the vehicle I’ll be using because I’ll need to transport clients. I was happy when they knew what I was talking about- because I was clueless.

Anywhoo…

I’m going to go wash my bed sheets in the most wonderful smelling laundry stuff EVER and then hang them out to dry because it’s nice and sunny. I can’t wait to lay in bed tonight and just sniff my way to sleep.
