Life is… not bad!

 Dear Diary;

Forgive me, but I’m about to brag a little bit. If you don’t want to read it, you don’t have to.

♥ I went to the meeting today to discuss my new job. Just to clarify- I got the job already, this meeting was to discuss what I’d be doing, get a loose schedule and fill out forms and such. Here’s the deal- It’s part time work (starts at only 4 hours a week, Friday mornings) but they expect much more to come, including more hours at the After School program they want me to work at starting Dec 6 (that’s when the new facility opens). I am COMPLETELY overwhelmed and nervous and well.. flat out scared to start this job (cause I have no idea what I’m doing!!) but the people seem really nice and supportive and I’m hoping for the best. Speaking of the best… this is where I brag about my salary being $19.99/hr TO START. That’s for the part time activity center job- the after school job is only (HA! only..) $17.80/hr to start. Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention that I got my own office today. Yup. My very own personal office with a lap top computer and everything.

♥2 people showed up for my photo shoot today, but I expected less so it was kind of a bonus. I will *not* be submitting that photo (yes, I took it anyway) but I might dig through my other pictures and see what I can dig up.I haven’t decided yet if I’ll delete some of my facebook "friends".

♥ Still chatting regularly with Redhead. We have good conversations and that wins out over physical features. For now, anyway.

♥ It’s almost hunting season!!! <– those exclamation points make it seem like I’m excited for hunting. I’m not excited for deer to die (I don’t want to think about that part) but I AM excited for my dad to be gone for 2 weeks. WOO HOO!

♥ I don’t start my job for a week yet, and even then I have to sit and read policies and procedures for 6 hours before I actually "work" so I’m going to make the most of my last few days with no responsibilities. (That probably means I’ll sleep in and maybe buy some new work clothes). I plan to enjoy Halloween- even though I have NOTHING to do that night except sit home and eat candy. Maybe I’ll sit around in my costume (I’m going to Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz) and hope that someone calls me and invites me to a rockin’ party.

sweetness on the job front!

Super excited about the new job – that’s good hourly wages – so awesome. It also sounds like a really neat job and that it’s a great fit for you! 🙂 CONGRATULATIONS!!!

RYN: Thank you. I love blister packs. Unfortunately, Mom takes so many meds and gets so confused, I don’t want her to be responsible for having to take the correct meds from the correct packages at the correct times of the day. She also has athritis in her hands and can barely open those little pill containers they sell at the pharmacy. That’s why the larger tupperware-type of containers works well for her. I appreciate the advice, though, really. =)
