High ropes and bras.

 Dear Diary;

I had a pretty great week at resource training. There were many laughs and inside jokes that I won’t bother explaining here because you likely won’t find it as funny as we did.

On Wednesday we took a trip to the Outdoor center in the city and did the high ropes static course. If you’re wondering what that is, I’ll explain…. You climb up into a structure that’s about 30-40 feet off the ground (on the bottom level) and you wear a harness with lobster claws so that you can belay yourself. Lobster claws are basically two big clips on two long straps hooked together that you attach to your harness. You clip both of the "claws" onto the wires above your head so that when you’re out on the course and you fall- you don’t actually fall off to your death.  Anyway- I was totally hyped up and ready to go and I climbed to the top with my partner and we decided to start on the bridge. I got about half way across and realized that I was TERRIFIED. I did end up crossing the bridge, the skinny board and the log- but I attempted to get on the wires and freaked out a little. lol. I accomplished my goal of at least standing on the wire though, which is good.

This isn’t the same course- but it’ll give you an idea of what I’m talking about…

The course I was on is brand new, so I can’t find any pictures of it- but it’s a lot better than what’s in these pictures.

I got home today and one of the two bras I have left broke. By broke- I mean the wire popped out of the fabric on the inside and is poking me. I HATE when my bras do that. Now I need a new one. *sigh*

Also, I should mention that being away all week, I had forgotten about the money I was waiting for. I ended up getting a cheque handed to me from the Y, which was awesome- but when I got home, I had received nothing else. That blows.
