but… I don’t know you.

 Dear Diary;

*sigh*

A while ago I was chatting with some old friends from high school and we decided that we wanted to get together some night to catch up. We planned a date and everyone was set to go and then one of the girls cancelled at the last minute and the whole thing fell through. That seems to happen with me a lot and with the things I plan. Anyway, last week I was fed up and instead of making a big deal out of it I simply sent a quick message to a few people stating that I was going to be at Mexi’s on the 28th and anyone in the area at the time was welcome to come and hang out and have dinner.

Today I get invited to a group on facebook that one of the girls created (the same one who cancelled before) inviting people to meet up at mexi’s (same time and date I suggested) and she had invited several people- some of which I don’t even know. I was like… really? This was supposed to be a small gathering of people that hung out in high school. Am I wrong to be a little annoyed?

Anyway, after she created the group I thought, fine. I’ll invite some other people who didn’t necessarily hang out with us all the time- because clearly that’s what she did. *shrug* At least I’m inviting people who everyone knows.

whatev. I have a strange feeling they’ll all cancel anyway.

Wow! It seems like she horned in on your territory. She cold have sent you a note and asked if it would be okay to expand the meeting to include other folks. Grrr… RYN: Ha! I know quite a few people who have been waiting to “spring forward.” They love how it’s lighter later in the day and they can get more done. You are not alone!
