Weird animals, snow people and Canadian pride!

 Dear Diary;

My cat has climbed in behind the monitor and has made himself comfortable. Weird cat.

I’m really sore tonight. I’ve been outside every day this week playing in the snow because it’s so packy and perfect for building things- like a life sized snow woman to go with my snow dog. I’d post pictures, but I can’t because I don’t have my computer. Grr.

I am bursting with Canadian pride today. Our women are rocking out big time with a gold, 2 silvers and a bronze today.
In fact- out of our 15 medals (so far) our women have taken 11 1/2 of them. I know that my Olympic talk bores a lot of people, but you know what? Tough shit. I LOVE my country and I am a naturally competitive person so I’m going to talk about our country and our atheletes and the sports that I love and if you don’t dig it, then whatev.

Our men kicked ass at hockey tonight against Russia- Don’t count us out just because you caught us on a down day America- we’re still in this and we’re going to take it to the end. Our women will rock out too in the Gold medal game.
 
Our curlers are still kicking butt and both the men and women are set up to win the Gold.

I’m SO happy that Clara Hughes won a medal in speed skating today. She is the ONLY athelete from ANY country to win multiple medals at both the winter and summer olympics and she really had a great skate and deserved that medal.

Something I was NOT impressed with was American Lindsey Vaughn. I mean, go ahead and celebrate your countless medals and whatever- but don’t pull out your Gold medal when you’re being presented with your Bronze. You totally stole that special moment from the Gold medal winner and made yourself look like an asshole. "You don’t wear your wedding dress to someone elses wedding". That was a shithead move.

ANYWAY… I’m super proud of Canada and I’m looking forward to at least 4 more medals before the end of these games!
