NJM 20 – Fireside Christmas’ & Vision Boards.

Dear Diary;

Well, if my car wasn’t dead already, it certainly is now. I’ve been using it a little bit to go to town and back when I need to- it’s great to have a vehicle to be able to get out of here every once and a while. I knew driving it any farther than town and back was pushing it, so I haven’t taken it very far. Last night I drove it to Erin’s housee (2 minutes away) and it just about blew up. Okay, that’s an exaggeration, but the engine did start smoking and I had to take it home. My transmission is gone, pretty much. Dad and I took it to K&M automotive this morning and just dropped it there. I don’t know if it’s worth fixing at this point or if I should sell it for parts and put that money towards another used car. It’s probably not even worth $500. *eye roll*

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you my parents! "Want a car? Okay, you can have this old, beat up, piece of shit that we don’t want anymore." I appreciate the gesture, but you bought my brother a used car- twice- and all you give me is your leftovers? Thanks a bunch. I don’t feel less important at all.

Anywho…

I finally found a jacket that I like! Walmart (of course..) had it on sale last night so I bought it. It’s grey and purple and I like it a lot. Now I just need somewhere to go so I can wear it…

I also picked up some cheap Christmas CD’s at wallyworld. They’re all instrumental, jazzy type cd’s and I LOVE them. I can just picture a roaring fireplace and a decorated christmas tree.. snow falling outside and warm socks. Sitting on a couch watching the fire and drinking a glass of wine listening to this type of music. *dreamy*

I created a "Vision Board" today. You know, a poster board that you stick pictures and words on. You’re supposed to cut out pictures of the things that you want- or the things that represent what you want out of life. You put it all together in a big collage and stick your picture in the centre and voila! Instant vision board. I’m going to add a few more pictures before it’s done, but it’s pretty sweet. I’ve got things that represent an apartment (or a home) and weight loss and friends and happiness and career success and money and of course, love and marriage. I still have to add babies (to represent a future family) and a few other things. I’ll take a picture when I’m done.
