October Photo Scavengers

Dear Diary;

So… remember me writing about this photo scavenger thing? Well here’s what I’ve got. It’s not much. I wasn’t able to get some of the words (simply because I left the house maybe.. oh.. 4 or 5 times this month? yeah, sounds about right.) but I’m ok with the ones I did get. The diary is HERE if anyone is interested.

Here we go!

1
.   Cosy – that blanket is the warmest, softest most luxurious blanket I’ve ever had.

2.
A stranger – I have two pictures of strangers simply because I was in the right place at the right times.

3.   An icon of your city – Clearly, this is Big Ben and Ian Millar. The statue.

4.   Childhood – Okay, so.. I cheated. I took this one last month. (sue me). Who doesn’t like a good ride on a merry-go-round!

5.   Something red and green – …..pretty self explanitory.

6.   A pattern or texture – I actually have a hundred photos that I could use for this one, but this picture really hit me. I dunno. I like it.

7.
Street art  – We come to the first one I did not get. Sorry folks, I live in a town where street art just doesn’t exsist. Believe me- I looked for it (and any interpretation I could find of it).

8.   An image that could be a book cover – This just sort of happened. It was really pretty and misty and lovely one night and.. voila.

9.
Old
10.   New
11.   A shadow or silhouette
12.   Language

I didn’t get any of those. whatareyagonnado. Sure, I have old pictures I could use- but that’s not really the point of this challenge (and besides, I already cheated once!).

13.   Music – This was taken as an interesting perspective, but since it’s a guitar- it fits under the music category too.

14.
Autumn – Be serious, what’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think about pictures of autumn? I doubt it’s cat tails.

15.
An animal – The old, grey mare just ain’t what she used to be…. (this is my old baby, Lacey. She’s a year older than me. 27)

16.
A place to contemplate life – I’m still not sure why I picked this place. It’s nice, I guess.

17.
Something that begins with the letter O – yeah.. no.

18.   A reflection on water – Right.. so… do you know how hard it is to get a dog to "stay" in just the right place?

19.   An interesting perspective – see "music"

20.   A self-portrait – taken at our camp, my reflection in the window. I love the lake in the background, the books through the window. It’s kind of cool. I don’t know why my hair looks so red… argh.

RYN: Way to go!!!! I’m so proud of you, Meghan. I know how hard it can be, especially in the beginning. You rock! I appreciate your support so much.

These photos are amazing!!! I love the one of you! Your body looks amazing! The cat tails are fabulous and the reflection with Molly!!!!!! How in the heck did you get her to stay like that???? Love the perspective on the guitar — beautiful. I, too, like the texture picture. I can feel it. I want to snuggle in your blankie. =)

beckie- you’re totally right! I don’t know why that didn’t really strike me as street art though..

Hey, thanks for participating! Loving the book cover one and the reflection of the dog in water.

October 30, 2009

lol it’s not really street art? maybe it’s a painting on a wall on a street therefor street art? perfect logic in my head, ask me again when all this medication wears off maybe I’ll have a different opinion hehe

I love the dog reflection! It would have been hard to get it to “stay” but I think it looks better because it’s not so posed 🙂 ps. you have the exact same couch but different pattern as us!
