Haglund’s deformity
Dear Diary;
My heel is killing me today! ugh. I can’t wait for summer so I can start wearing sandals again.
I have Haglund’s deformity, which is a condition caused by big bump on the back of my heel. It’s really freaking painful. It doesn’t bother me unless I wear certain shoes that put pressure on back of my heel. It squishes the soft tissue against the heelbone and back of the shoe and then I get a big inflammed bump that HURTS like hell. I can hardly walk tonight.
ouchy! 🙁
Ouch. I hate pain. Are you going to pitch those shoes that did this to you? Bad shoes! Hit them with a bat to get even with them. Do heel lifts help? Or are sandals the only thing that helps? I just had a shoe repair guy stretch the toe box of some shoes that were too short. I don’t totally understand what he did, but he made room for my toes in shoes that my toes had been bumping up against the front of. It seems like the same technique could be applied to reshape the back to make room for your heel. Or maybe I’m full of baloney and should not spout off about problems I never heard of before.

An update on the PediPaws: she haaaates it. Omg. It vibrates and makes an awful racket while doing so, so even when I tried to “introduce” it to her before using it on her, she was bouncing around trying to bite it without getting too close to it. It works, but my god it took some hassling to hold her still long enough to even try it.
