Reptile babies (pics)

Dear Diary;

You know you wanna see some reptiles! I was over at Erin’s earlier today helping her force feed Rolo. We ended up having to make a slurry so we could syringe it into his mouth. Nothin’ like blending up some hornworms, crickets, baby food, calcium dust and mealworms. Mmmmm yum.

Anywho… I’ve been wanting to take some pictures of her "babies" for a long time but never had a chance. I decided to go ahead and try today- although I have to say, it’s not easy trying to photograph them in their tanks. You don’t have a lot to work with.

First up is Achoo. He’s a Golden Gecko

Then there’s Napoleon- he’s a skink.

And Dago (dagu? dag…something I always forget this one). I don’t remember what kind of Gecko he is. I NEVER see him because he’s ALWAYS hiding.

Next is Leo. We recently found out that he is in fact- a she. Leo is a Leopard Gecko.

he/she is the most photogenic by far, so I took two pics.

And then there’s Rolo- the sick little guy. He just got finished shedding, so his head still has some skin that hasn’t come off yet. He’s a fat tailed Gecko with a tail that’s not-so-fat because he’s not eating (hence the force feeding).

You can see the scabs around his mouth- that’s mouth rot. all the white, loose skin is normal when they shed.

And finally, (if I can find the pic I took…) the two fire-bellied frogs – Ben and Dover. (yes, that’s right).

Ben and Dover like to lay on top of one another.
Seriously.

So that’s her little family.

Does anyone know anything about reptiles- and if you do, have you ever heard of Phoenix Worms?

You have amazing photography skills. Obviously. But I needed to voice that because I really have such an appreciation for it. The frogs were my favorite picture, I believe. Looks like froggie l?ve.

I don’t know anything about reptiles. Awesome pics!!!
