Bernardo/ Homolka *
Dear Diary;
I wrote an entry last night about Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka because when I mentioned the Bernardo video being released most of you had no idea who the hell I was talking about. Unfortunately, it didn’t save when OD went down.
I wrote all about it.. it’s a pretty big deal here in Canada, specifically Ontario.
anyway.. Paul Bernardo is a serial killer/ rapist. He and his (ex)wife killed 3 people and are suspected of killing at least 1 more. Paul raped upwards of 30 girls before he was convicted and sent to prison for life. He currently is at the Kingston Pen. serving his sentence. (Really creepy driving past there knowing that’s where he is.. *shutter*).
The video that was released was just an interview with him asking about the other girl he potentially raped and murdered.
Karla served a 12 year sentence for manslaughter and was released after a plea bargin and testifying against bernardo in his murder trial. She lived in Quebec (because she wouldn’t be accepted at all in Ontario) and after a judge lifted her restrictions (because she was still considered a risk to the public) she moved out of the country after nurses in Quebec wouldn’t help her when she had a baby boy with her new husband.

No, I haven’t found Fluffy yet. I’m trying REALLY hard to keep occupied so I don’t break down and cry again. It’s not looking good. I think she’s gone.
I, obviously, find everything about this absolutely DISGUSTING, including the fact that Homolka was able to have that baby and keep it, after everything that she did, including helping him kill her own sister!! Makes me sick to think about it!! Kirsten French’s mom came to my high school one day, and by the end of the assembly there was not a dry eye in the entire school!!!

Ohhhhhh omg I just watched a movie based on them…about 6 weeks ago. I think it was called “Her Name Was Karla” or something like that. I even wrote an entry about it. I remember when parts of their home video of the night they killed her sister was on the news or something…scary.

to the person that mentioned she got a plea bargain…they had to, they had video tapes of him doing in and in the tapes he had a mask on she was the only one that could identify him. So it was either give her a plea and or not get him…I have to say I feel safer knowing he’s behind bars and will be for the rest of his life.
