in thanks
God be praised! my mom may be coming home on thursday. the doctor seems to be confident that she is doing well. it has been a long seven days, friends. if for no other reason than i just don’t understand how a woman who has been healthy as a horse for 71 years can suddenly come down with something as pernicious as a non-hodgkinson lymphoma. mom looks great. i visited with her for a while this evening. she is the woman i’ve known. this is a new reality for me, though. the chemo and treatments she has recieved over the last week have done wonders. she’s scared. she has every right to be, i am, too.
please, if you can, give blood. she has had at least five, if not more, blood transfusions. i want to thank those that gave so that she might have their blood. i don’t know who you are, but thank you. thank you.
i want to thank those that came before her and have had this disease, thank you to you and your families. it is because of you that my mother has this chance.
thank you to the researchers, the doctors, the scientists.
thank you to those that have prayed for her.
the road is long. one step at a time.
so glad your mother is about to be released from the hospital. i’m sure she’ll be glad to be home. prayers for her and you. take care,
