i just ate sushi
from time to time when at the ref desk i will go down the glass hallway to the little food kiosk and buy myself a small thing of sushi. its not great sushi, but its not bad. it might be a tad expensive, i dunno; nine bucks for six pieces. i dont’ use chopsticks, i’m a barbarian and use my fingers. tweeze a piece between my forefinger and thumb and pop into mouth, chew, swallow, repeat. it makes for a nice, quick, snacky dinner to tide me over til i get home. today also bought a bottle of iced tea.
i got my thanks but not thanks letter yesterday from the library i interviewed a week ago. i wasn’t surprised, actually. i’ve gotten used to them, i guess. i was a little disappointed maybe, but not mad or anything like that. i worked early at the bookstore this morning. as i was driving home i started thinking about it and i realized that it was probably a blessing that i didn’t get that job. here’s why. the distance. i would of eventually moved to be closer to the library, but that would of been at least a year out, i have to take care of some of the bills i have first. round trip would of been approximately 60 miles. my car is still in very good shape, has fairlly low miles and gets decent gas milage, but i think i probably would of been spending double if not a little more on gas then i am now.
so, i continue to work at the bookstore and do my parttime reference gig at the university library. my job is out there. ill find it.
prayers you find it soon. take care,

*breaks out the pompoms* You can do it, Loof! Say, are you a member of your local library association? Just curious.
