Duke vs. Wisconsin

As I write this, the lead is down to 2 points, mostly because my Badgers can’t seem to shoot a three pointer anymore.  They were doing great to open the game, but now can’t shoot to save their lives.  And now Duke can tie the game for the first time tonight.  Up until when I write this, my Badgers have never trailed tonight.  I caught the end of the Illinois-Clemson game – woo hoo for Illinois and the Big Ten!  Now if Wisconsin can upset Duke the Big Ten can win the Big Ten/ACC Challenge for the first time (looks like Ohio State has their own game well in hand). And now the lead is back up to 6 points.  I can tell already I’m going to spend the rest of this game on pins and needles.  It’s great to see though, no matter the outcome, that the Badgers can truly play with the "Big Boys."  Granted the game is at the Kohl Center so the Badgers definitely have the advantage there, but Duke is ranked #5 in the country, so Duke was definitely favored to win this one. And already it’s a high scoring affair for my Badgers. Usually the score is low for my Badgers, but not tonight. Tonight my badgers will likely end up in the upper60’s or lower 70’s for points (usually once Big Ten play starts, scores in the 50s or low 60’s are the norm).

Okay, so the exam is just a few days away now. I’ve decided on the best approach to attacking the logical reasoning sections.  I’m going to do the questions that I can do, and the types that I have problems with (since there are certain types I have issues with) I’ll skip until the end.  When I’ve done sections thus far, I’ve had time left over at the end, so I’m going to do the harder questions at the end so that I can use that time more effectively.  I’ve decided for sure that if I score lower than a 160, I’m going to retake the exam.  What I haven’t decided if that’s the low point for sure. I’d like a 165 for a score – that would put me somewhere around the 88th percentile.  To get that score, I need to miss 20 or 21 questions.  For comparison, I missed 36 questions on the practice test and that translated to a 155.  I want to make the score decision ahead of time because I won’t receive my score until January4th (due to the holidays) and the last day for regular registration for the Feb LSAT is January 5th.  So I’m better off making that scoring decision ahead of time.

Not much else going on really.  Spent just the morning today on incoming calls and then after lunch it was back to dialer and my book.  I’m pretty comfortable though talking to borrowers right now so that’s good 🙂  Let’s see…the other thing of course is that winter’s finally here. No real snowfall yet, but the temps of winter are certainly here.  A couple weeks of these temps and our ground will soon be frozen enough for snow to stick.  I broke down and wore my winter coat to work today.  At least for the foreseeable future, that’s going to be the coat I wear to work…Right now temps in the low 30’s to upper 20’s for highs and lows in the upper teens to lower 20’s.  And right now as I finish this entry, the Badgers are still up by 5 points with 9:30 to go in the game – and they’ve yet to even be tied with Duke – they’ve always led.

RYN: Bishop Tanner told us it was a miracle and an answer to his prayers (prayers before he even met her). Apparently a visiting Seventy told the bishoprics and stake presidencies to pray for a missionary experience and they would be blessed and so would the people they had the experience with, including baptism.
