Transcripts & Work
First things first, I got emails today that two of my three transcripts are on their way to LSAC. They should be completely processed and in my account by the time the LSAT rolls around on December 5th. My third school is probably just receiving my transcript request, but even that one should be there by LSAT time or just thereafter. I’ll also be able to keep track and see when my two letters of recommendation have been received.
In terms of work, people who don’t want to be helped and yet refuse to pay their student loans really piss me off. We’re calling because we want to help you. I love helping the people that want to be helped, but the ones that are rude because I’m calling to see if they want to discuss options and have to say certain things just piss me off. I mean, seriously. Either pay your student loans or give us a call to work out options instead of letting it sit there so that we have to call you about it. I’m sorry, but we’re required by federal law to call you when you don’t pay your student loans and we’re required to give you certain information. And I’m sorry, I don’t care if your child is paying on the parent plus loan you took out for them – it’s still your loan and it still reflects on your credit and we still need all of your information. So please, if you have student loans, contact your servicer if you start having payment issues. Don’t let it get to the point where we have to start calling you (usually two missed payments in a row). We’re nice people who want to help you and you have options. So I’m already tired of trying to help people that don’t want to be helped and just don’t care. That’s one of the things I want in my post law school job – a job where I have little contact in trying to help those who don’t want to be helped. I’m all for helping those that want it and are willing to take advantage of options presented and do their part to take care of the problem. But honestly at this point, I just don’t care about those people who aren’t willing to be helped or just don’t care. I’m hoping it’ll be better on incoming training as they’ll be calling us and presumably they care but who knows. I definitely like helping people and knowing I helped them. But comparatively speaking, I have so few of those right now.
