NoJoMo

Given that I write everyday now anyway, I decided to officially do NoJoMo – where you do an entry everyday for the month of November.  All that means for me is transferring every entry for November from ldsjournal over to OpenDiary .  Not really a big deal, all in all.  As for what’s going on, I did some cleaning of my room today.  As I expected though, I’m not done.  I’ll have to finish it tomorrow and probably spend some more work on it on Monday after work.  I think since I’m going to all this work, I’m going to go all the way, or least most of the way.  I don’t have to go insane to satisfy my parents, but I think this go-round I’m going to go farther than that.  I’m going to try to keep it clean from that point forward, but we’ll see how that goes.  And maybe I’ll even make a point to do some picking up every weekend.  Not sure how long that will last, but maybe I’ll try it.  In any case, I’ve got to clear off my bed before I can hit the sack.

I’ve decided I’m bringing my Ultimate LDS Songbook with me to look through while I’m waiting for Stake Conference to start tomorrow. My mom’s goal is to get there about 90 minutes before it starts.  I’m also bringing myiPod touch with me to read stuff.  I love having my scriptures on it.  So tomorrow we also find out who the new Stake President is.  It sure will be interesting.

In other news, tonight’s entry makes 13 straight weeks of journaling.  I will admit that the entry the day of my surgery is two sentences before we left for the hospital and I’m not sure my entry from the following day is that much more coherent, but I managed to write.  13 weeks is a quarter of a year.  When I think of it that way, I’m a little amazed I’ve managed to write that long consecutively.  Really though, back in August I made the decision to write and started writing.

I got my car registration renewal notice in the mail today.  I got my car in early December of 2005.  It’s a 2006 Ford Focus.  In any case, I got the renewal notice today and I just went ahead and took care of it now.  Man has it gotten expensive here though!  Either last year or the year before it was just $55 I believe.  This year it was $75 (plus then the $1 fee for doing it online).  There’s been talk of pushing it higher to pay for some things, but I desperately hope that it doesn’t go up any higher – it’s high enough as is!  Another few weeks and I’ll have to take my car in for an oil change and general pre-winter "check up."  I’ll likely end up dropping $60 or $70 on the deal, as I also need new wiper blades and I’m going for ones that actually work in snow.

I’ve been doing that transfer thing from ldsjournal to opendiary since august, and I’ve been pretty happy with it. I’ll be doing November too, but when I do the overnighter with the scouts, I’ll have to write it on paper and transcribe it.
