Up And Around

I’m mostly up and around today.  Still sore and still on the vicodin but I’m definitely more mobile than I was yesterday.  I’ve also been much more awake today than I was yesterday.  I’ve actually yet to have a true nap today and the way things are going, I may not have a nap at all today.  My nose definitely still hurts and I absolutely want to blow my nose.  In fact, the not blowing my nose part is the worst right at the moment.  Imagine how stuffed up you feel when you have a really nasty cold and how badly you want to blow your nose in those circumstances.  And then how your ears start to hurt as well from the congestion and pressure That’s me until at least Tuesday – and I can’t blow my nose or really pop my ears.  I had thoughts about trying to get off the vicodin today but decided it was only two days post-surgery.  That will be a task for tomorrow.  I have to sleep mostly sitting up for a few more days yet as well, and I’m finding that annoying too.  But it should all work out as the passageways continue to heal.  If I really had to, I could have gone to work today, but I’m grateful I saved enough time to take the full three days.  At this point, I should be feeling well enough to be at work on Monday.  I’m definitely glad though that I decided ahead of time I wasn’t going to church on Sunday.  One less thing to deal with and try to decide if I’m up to going.  My mom’s also going to teach my primary class this Sunday.  Not much else going on right now – my parents have left to visit my grandparents which is okay by me.  While I’m feeling better, I’m not feeling up to going down.  My dad and I will likely go down together next weekend.

I figure you can always try to avoid the Vicodin and then just take some if it hurts. That’s how I’ve always treated such things. “titrate to effect” was a saying among our medics at the fire department.

Well, considering your able to write in your diary, i think things are going fairly well. lol. I’d be anxious to blow my nose too, but sometimes you gotta live through it so you don’t make things worse.

ryn: I love it. It can be tough, but remember, I deal with a different type of clientel. I think you should go for the call center. Remember that whenever you work with the public, you’ll always have a job. Go for it!
