Four Letter Word That Starts With S

Yes, that little four letter word that begins with S has now been tossed around by the local guys and the national ones.  That’s right – we’ve got a shot at snow on Sunday night into Monday morning.  It’s more flurries than really snow, but they’ve now officially thrown that word around….grrr!  I definitely feel like it’s too early for that, but I’m not sure if I simply think it’s early, or if it actually is early for it.  I suspect it might be a touch early, given how far below normal temps we are right now.  Our high on Sunday is just 44.   It’s definitely a little early for that to be happening.  In any case, it’s really windy here right now. No wind advisory though so I guess it’ll calm down soon.

We have a team meeting at work tomorrow, where I think we’re going to get some more information on the transition.  I know Kari had a meeting today about it, and came back from that meeting looking more….tired, I guess, than when she went into it.  Jenny and I also have to sit with Barb the next few days to get her up to speed on letter writer, and that leads me to wonder if they’ll continue to break us up piecemeal.  Or if perhaps there are departments looking to pluck me and/or Jenny at this point.  I’m honestly not sure.  But I’m definitely hoping for more answers tomorrow as it’s been a few weeks since we’ve heard anything about the transition.  Again, all I can do is leave it in the Lord’s hands and continue to do my part.  I guess at this point I’m just ready for things to settle down and the transition to happen.  I don’t know if I’ll like where I end up, but I’m ready to end up somewhere.

Surgery is a week from tomorrow and I’m SOOOOO ready for it!  Half the reason I’m ready for it is that my sinuses suck and haven’t handled the transition to fall well.  The other half is that I could use the five day weekend.  I need the break from work and what work is like.  The worst part about work right now is that I seem to be running out of work about 2:30 or 3 in the afternoon and then they have to scrounge up work.  I hate twiddling my thumbs and searching for something to do.  I like it better when we’re busy and there’s stuff to do from the time I get to work until the time I leave and then there’s more to do the next morning.  Anyway, I’m really ready for the time off next week.
