Quick entry before bedtime

This is just a quick entry before I head off to bed, as I do have to work in the morning. 

First, tomorrow is my last day as a temp 🙂  I have off on Thursday and Friday, and then Monday I’ll start as an employee on the company payroll 🙂 

Second, my boss is awesome.  They have a birthday list – a list of everyone in the department’s birthdays and today they passed out new copies, since there are three of us added to the department now.  Initially, I was listed as Jackie (Last Name).  But later in the afternoon, my boss had a new one printed out that said Jacqueline (last name).  I told her I didn’t care quite that much.  But seriously, that was terrific of her.  I’m going to really like working there 🙂 

Third, my youngest brother gets home about 10 am tomorrow and will be home through Saturday morning.  Mostly he’s coming home to see his girlfriend, but it’ll be nice to see him.

Fourth, it would appear we’re headed to IL for Thanksgiving this year, entirely.  However, my brother’s not headed down – instead he’s headed out to dinner with his gf and her family.  He and the girlfriend are headed to IL tomorrow afternoon for a visit however. So we’re having big family Thanksgiving on Thursday, and then our own Thanksgiving here at home on Friday. 

Fifth, the camera I want is going up in price, rather than down like my dad predicted.  It’s got me rather annoyed, to tell you the truth.  Nothing I can do about , but *shrugs*.

Sixth, the offer letter for my job did come this week, so it is official. I also got a big fat folder of stuff to read through and fill out for the benefits orientation next week.  I also have to re-read the corporate safety manual (REALLY boring) and then read the HR handbook for the first time.
